I use my amazing powers of perception to detect a trend here…

On Sunday afternoon I sorted out my handknits – what to pack away ’till fall, what to wash then pack away, what to keep accessible.

As I was choosing the shawls and scarves to wash, I noticed…

Hey kids, let’s all chip in and buy Kate a new color!

(clockwise from top left:  Damson, Stardust (aka Shetland Triangle)*, Cozy, Milkweed, Citron**, Ishbel)

Knitters/crocheters – do you ever notice any REALLY OVERT color trends?

*Mostly hidden under Cozy, but you can see just a peek of it there in the middle

**Yup, I figured out how to make it work

  1. My stash is currently blue, turquoise, navy and purple. Exceptions: black and gray yarn (going to be the guy’s new winter hat) and some red acrylic yarn (christmas gift, don’t have a clue what to do with it, must remember to be more specific than “soft yarn” on my next wishlist).
I don’t really know what to do about that obsession with blue, I always go to my LYS with the best intentions to buy something else. But who could resist a merino fingering weight in all shades of the sea?

  2. My first several sweaters were green. I’ve been trying to branch out since then.
